The company was formed in 2004 by former managers of HypoVereinsbank’s
private equity and project finance teams in Munich and
Moscow. ACP is owned and managed by the two founding partners
Vladimir Matias and Jan-Hendrik Röver.
During their employment at HypoVereinsbank,
the partners worked mainly on asset based transactions
in different regions, including the CIS. The team was
involved in two“Deals of the Year” (awarded
by the ProjectFinance Magazine) and significantly contributed
to its former employer becoming No. 1 arranger for corporate
finance transactions in the Russian Federation in 2002.
In particular, the partners implemented the first Russian
and Ukrainian project financings in the oil and gas
sector involving international banks, namely the Ukrainian
gas pipeline project “Gastransit” and the
Russian oil upstream project “SeverTEK”.
During 2001 and 2002, whilst they where still working
at HypoVereinsbank, the partners raised over US$ 1.1
billion for the Russian gas giant Gazprom for its projects
“Blue Stream” and “Zapolyarnoye”.
In 2004-2005, ACP acted as financial adviser to the
Russian oil products pipeline company OAO AK Transnefteproduct
and successfully raised US$ 753 million of financing
for its strategic project “Sever”.
Currently the company advises, among others, OAO Gazprom
on a large oil & gas upstream project, a partner
in a Russian oil upstream production sharing agreement
project, a Russian real estate company and is involved
in a number of other investment banking and financial
advisory projects.
